Happy Juneteenth! 156 years ago today Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to enforce and inform residents of the Emancipation Proclamation, and the enslaved people rejoiced. Take time on this first federally recognized Juneteenth to celebrate and to reflect and learn about this important holiday for ALL of us.
